Last Thursday I went to visit the farmer’s market at the White House. Unfortunately, I didn’t bump into the First Lady Michelle Obama but I did find this. She’s an amazing advocate for eating healthy and supporting local purveyors. I mean, we bought her book American Grown — it’s filled with White House gardening secrets & scrumptious farmers’ market recipes.
My purchase: A dozen free range eggs and a lovely jar of raw wildflower honey from the Culver Farm.
Address: 810 Vermont Ave. NW
(between H St. NW and I St. NW)
